In order to configure Omni IoT you will need:
- 1 IoT;
- 1 vehicle;
- 1 SIM card with no PIN set, but with an internet connection;
- Omni configuration tool (OmniBle tool or any other tool from the manufacturer of your IoT devices to connect to your Omni IoT or Omni lock).
Follow the below steps to configure your Omni IoT/lock:
1) Let us know your OMNI device type:
a. OMNI IoT connected to a vehicle (vehicle battery is not swappable, battery charging is made only by wire);
b. OMNI IoT connected to a vehicle (vehicle battery is swappable, battery charging is made by wire or swapping battery manually);
c. OMNI Lock without any connection to a vehicle (usually used for regular bikes);
d. OMNI Lock with electric wire connection (usually used with electric bikes);
2) Provide your OMNI device documentation, so we can check it and make sure our integration matches your OMNI device;
3) ATOM prepares a server for your OMNI devices, where they will send and receive signals;
4) ATOM provides you with the IP and PORT numbers for your OMNI IoT server;
5) Use Omni tool to set the correct APN name of your SIM card provider (you can ask APN name from SIM card provider or find this information by searching in Google);
6) Make sure the PIN code is removed for your SIM card;
7) Set IP number provided by ATOM;
8) Set Port number provided by ATOM;
9) Save the settings;
10) Afterwards add your IoT devices/locks and your vehicles to the dashboard:
If everything is configured and added correctly, you will see that the IoT device/lock is sending its signal through. Check column "Last update: x min.", e.g. (it should show exact time when last signal was received):
