Push notifications are a powerful marketing tool that can significantly enhance user engagement, retention, and conversion rates. They allow you to deliver timely and personalized messages directly to your users, keeping them informed about updates, promotions, and relevant content.

To set up push notifications using the free OneSignal account created by ATOM team for you during onboarding, follow these steps:

  1. log in with your free OneSignal account (an invitation was sent out by ATOM team to you during onboarding);

  2. on the left-hand side choose the Messages -> Push option:

3. on the right-hand side choose New Message -> New Push:

4. indicate a name for the message and either choose to send to all users or to specific user segments (for example, based on activity, OS, etc.):

5. Indicate a title and body text for the push message, include an image or a link to an external page if necessary (a preview will be available on the right-hand side of the screen):

6. Indicate if the message should be sent out immediately or if a different date and time needs to be scheduled for its delivery (if required you can also choose to send the push message out on custom times based on end-users timezones):

7. When you're ready to send the message out to your customer base, press Review and Send.

System Push Notifications

The ATOM Mobility platform ensures that customers are always informed and safe while using the service. One of the ways the system communicates important information is through push notifications. Below, we’ll explain some of the common notifications you might receive and what they mean.

Vehicle Enters No-Go Zone

A no-go zone is an area where vehicles are not allowed to operate due to safety regulations, private property, or other restrictions. If the vehicle enters one of these zones, it will automatically stop to prevent further usage in this area. To continue the ride, customer will need to move the vehicle out of the no-go zone.

Notification Text:

  • "You entered a no-go zone. Your vehicle will stop working here. Leave the zone to activate the vehicle again."

Vehicle Enters Speed Limit Zone

Speed limit zones are designated areas where the maximum speed of vehicles is reduced for safety purposes. This could be near schools, parks, or pedestrian-heavy areas. When the vehicle enters a speed limit zone, the system will automatically reduce its speed to comply with the designed regulations.

Notification Text:

  • "You entered a speed limit zone. Your scooter’s speed will be limited to x km/h here for your own safety and the safety of the pedestrian!’

Wallet Balance Is Too Low

Depending on the system preferences, customers might need to maintain a sufficient balance in their wallet to use the service. If the wallet balance is too low, they won’t be able to start a new ride or continue an ongoing ride once the balance is depleted.

Notification Text:

  • "You have insufficient funds in your wallet! Please top-up your wallet or end this ride to avoid negative balance."
