Reasons for the Offline status for taxi drivers in the ATOM driver's app

For the driver to be visible to the customer in the ride-hailing customer app and for the driver to be able to accept the ride in the ATOM driver's app, the driver needs to enable his "Online" status with the button on the top as per below:

To stop operating and not appear as available for customers, the driver must click on the button to go offline.

However, certain conditions exist when the driver can be automatically put in the offline status. To avoid this, make sure that:

  • ATOM driver's app is updated to the latest available version;

  • cellular data loss is excluded - this can happen if a phone call is received or the driver's internet connection is unstable;

  • other apps are not used in parallel - if the driver's app is minimized and other apps are used at the same time, it can cause the driver's phone's internal memory to be filled up and not be able to process additional data;

  • the driver's profile is not used from more than one phone at the same time - it is impossible to have the driver's app open on more than one phone for the same profile.

Additionally, to extend the driver application's work time in the background, you, should follow the steps below -
For Android:

1 - Long press on the app to open "App info" or find the application through Settings:

2 - In the application settings, find "Pause app activity if unused" or a similar setting (which might vary for different Android devices) and disable the toggle:

3 - Go to battery settings and find "Background app management" or a similar setting (might vary for different Android devices) and disable the toggle:

4 - In battery settings, find "System modes" or a similar setting (might vary for different Android devices) and choose "High performance":

These settings will prevent or limit your Android phone from disabling apps that are running in the background.

For iOS:

1 - Open the Settings app on the iPhone:

2 - Find the Driver app in the list.
3 - Make sure the "Background app refresh" and "Mobile data" toggles are enabled:
