Document verification options

Different possibilities available via ATOM to verify different documents and customer photo

ID document and customer photo verification can be manual and free of charge - note you will need to have an employee on your team dedicated to monitoring the ID verification section of the dashboard and verify each user manually.

If you choose to enable this option, let ATOM support know, so ATOM can enable it for your apps and dashboard.

Please also indicate which options we will need to enable for you:

1) verifying a single image (one side of one document);

2) two images (two sides of one document);

3) four images (two sides of two documents);

4) in addition to the three previous options you can also ask the user to submit a selfie image.

Alternatively you can choose a 3rd party service for ID verification with an integrated artificial intelligence solution. AI-based ID verification offers ID document/license and additionally a selfie image verification if required.

ATOM supports the integration with one such service at the moment, called Sumsub -

If you choose this service provider and create an account with them, make sure to invite admin@rideatom.com to the verification service account and also let ATOM support know you wish to enable the automatic verification, so ATOM can enable it for your apps and dashboard in the ATOM backend.

There are also two different stages during the user journey when you can choose to prompt ID document and customer photo (if required) verification:

1) during registration stage in the app - this is the most commonly used flow and gives more security to you as a merchant. As a result all your registered users have verified documents on record. Note this option is only available in case you are using the manual document verification option;

2) before starting the ride - alternative flow that lets users register without verifying their documents, instead the document verification is prompted when they want to start a ride. Note this option is only available in case you are using Sumsub in order for the document verification before the ride causing the least possible delay before user can start riding.
