QR code types and possibilities

ATOM QR codes contain deep links. The main difference between these QR codes and QR codes from your vehicle manufacturer is that when you scan a deep link powered QR code with any QR scanner/app it will open the scooter in your app or will redirect you to App Store/Google Play Store to download the app.

ATOM QR codes can be downloaded in the admin dashboard under Vehicles -> Settings -> Download QR code:

A regular QR code that you have on a vehicle does not have this feature. These are text-based QR codes, so they only work when scanned from your app directly.

In case you do not have the app, the regular QR code will not redirect you to App Store / Google Play Store.

Thus, regular QR codes work only if:

a) you have your app pre-installed on your phone;

b) you scan the QR code from this app.

NB! The QR code you already have on your vehicle may work, but we need to see an example first in order to verify if it can be used in the apps prepared for you by ATOM.

Also, when adding a new vehicle to the dashboard, make sure Vehicle No. is equal to number of the QR code.

NB!! The QR code ATOM uses contains Vehicle No, not the Vehicle ID you see in the dashboard, so you can edit the "number" and users will need to input this number if they are using "insert code" in the app instead of QR scan to start a ride. Hence, the Vehicle ID does not affect the process of inputting vehicle info in case they are unable to scan the QR code.
