The POI functionality on ATOM Mobility platform can serve different purposes - showing the users in your apps which locations to visit, where to eat, where to stay, etc. It can make your customer journey in the app more interesting by adding touristic locations, landmarks and cool spots, and also serve as a way to advertise other businesses - event venues, cafes, restaurants, shops, etc.

You can define a point of interest in the dashboard by adding a title, description and image:

You can also add a custom pin icon for the POI to better visualize the category of the attraction, e.g., restaurants, tourist landmarks, or shopping malls.

In the Personalization -> Map icon you will need to add a set of custom POI icons:
NB! Remember to choose mode Icons without battery (2 states) and upload two pictures for active (selected) and inactive.

In the dashboard, go to More -> Marketing -> POI and click Add POI:

Be sure to fill in the title and description field in all languages relevant to your app, not just the mandatory fields in English. You can also add a link in the description to an external page (website, wiki, etc.).
Upload a clear image representing the point of interest. The image format should be PNG, size 600x400px.

Lastly, choose one of the previously added Map Icon to represent the POI.

Save your entries to generate the POI on the map.

In the app the user will see a pin on the map - default or custom - and after clicking on it, the user will see all of the details and the image you have maintained for this POI:

The customer also has an option to navigate from his current location to the POI by selecting Navigate in the POI view of the app as pictured in the example above.

NB! This feature is available on the latest app versions: iOS 57.84+ & Android 9.70+.
