Route Change During an Active Taxi Ride

How to give your customers flexibility to adjust their route during the ride?

To increase your service flexibility and customer satisfaction, you have the option of allowing your customers to adjust their route even after the ride has started.

Here is how it works and looks from the customer and driver side:

  • During an active trip, the customer can update their destination or route directly in the app:

  • The driver will receive a prompt to accept or reject the change — for example, if the new destination is too far or not feasible.

  • If the driver accepts the updated route, the fare is automatically recalculated based on the new distance and estimated time.

To enable this feature for your customers, simply navigate in your dashboard to
More → Settings → System Preferences → Other:

This gives riders more control and makes the ride experience more flexible — while ensuring drivers can manage route changes smoothly and transparently.
