ATOM introduces a flexible pricing strategy through multi-tiered pricing brackets for each vehicle model, enhancing pricing options for riders. This approach allows businesses to tailor pricing based on ride duration, offering competitive rates for longer rides while maintaining higher rates for shorter ones.
β
Use Cases:
Short Ride Pricing: Implement distinct pricing for brief rides. For instance, rides lasting 0-20 minutes can be priced at 0.20 EUR per minute, while those between 21-50 minutes can be reduced to 0.10 EUR per minute.
NB! This setting works as a threshold, so for instance if a ride lasts for 30mins, first 20mins will be priced at 0.20EUR, and 10mins at 0.10EUR, then summarized.
In order to setup such pricing tiers, navigate to More->Vehicle models and choose the relevant one. Then add a new pricing step as shown:
Then add a new rule:
Long Ride Pricing: Establish varied pricing tiers for extended rides to encourage your customers to use a vehicle longer. You can set different rates for durations such as 1-3 hours or 3-5 hours, and even for very long rides spanning 1-7 days or 7-30 days.
In order to setup such pricing tiers, navigate to More->Vehicle models and choose the relevant one.Promotional Offers: Attract new customers by offering free short rides. For example, rides under 10 minutes could be complimentary, serving as an effective marketing tool. Just setup a pricing tier starting from the 10th minute and you are good to go!
Calculation example:
Pricing model setting is as follows:
The ride lasted for 8 minutes (note that system does not calculate seconds, so the duration will be rounded up). First 3 were free, next 3mins were priced at 0.20 EUR = 0.60 EUR, and the last 2mins cost 0.10 EUR = 0.20 EUR. Total is 0.80EUR.
In the customer app your customer will be able to see all defined tiers before starting the ride:
In the Rental module similar settings are available; however, the brackets usually show longer periods then sharing as rental is supposed to be a long-term use.
Example of the setup:
These strategies allow for a more dynamic pricing model that can cater to different customer needs and maximize revenue opportunities.
